Important information about the nature, intended use, and limitations of all Mutate Skincare products.

1. Cosmetic Products – Not Medical Devices

All Mutate Skincare products are cosmetic formulations intended for topical, external use on the skin. They are not medicines, drugs, or medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Our products are formulated and regulated as cosmetics under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (as amended) and applicable rules and regulations in India. They are developed to support the appearance and condition of the skin through regular topical application. Any benefit experienced through the use of our products is consistent with the intended function of cosmetic formulations.

2. Individual Results May Vary

Skincare results are inherently individual. Factors including skin type, age, lifestyle, diet, hydration, environmental exposure, and pre-existing skin conditions can all influence how your skin responds to any cosmetic product.

Mutate Skincare does not guarantee specific skincare outcomes, results, or improvements. Any before-and-after representations, testimonials, or customer reviews reflect individual experiences and are not indicative of results that may be experienced by all users.

3. Patch Test Recommendation

We strongly recommend performing a patch test before using any Mutate Skincare product for the first time, particularly if you have sensitive skin, a history of allergic reactions, or known ingredient sensitivities.

To perform a patch test:

1. Apply a small amount of the product to the inner forearm or behind the ear
2. Leave on for 24 hours without washing the area
3. If irritation, redness, itching, or swelling occurs, discontinue use immediately
4. Consult a dermatologist if the reaction persists

Failure to conduct a patch test prior to full-face or full-body application is at your own risk.

4. Individual Sensitivity

Even products formulated with widely tolerated and commonly used ingredients may cause an adverse reaction in individuals with specific sensitivities. Mutate Skincare cannot predict or control individual allergic or sensitivity responses.

If you experience any adverse reaction including burning, rash, excessive dryness, or swelling after using a Mutate Skincare product, please discontinue use immediately and, if necessary, seek medical advice.

Adverse skin reactions are not covered under our Cancellation & Refund Policy as they fall outside the scope of product defects.

5. Product Images & Representation

Product images, swatches, lifestyle photography, and other visual content on our website are for illustrative and representational purposes only. Due to variations in screen settings, photography conditions, and colour calibration, the actual appearance of the product may differ slightly from what is shown.

We make no representation that product images are an exact match to the physical product. Minor variations in packaging design, label layout, or product colour between batches do not constitute a defect.

6. Usage Instructions

Please read and follow the usage instructions printed on each product's packaging before use. Do not use our products in a manner inconsistent with the instructions provided. Overuse, misuse, or use on broken or irritated skin may produce undesirable results.

Keep all products away from the eyes. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Keep out of reach of children. Store products as directed on the packaging.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mutate Skincare and InHerAura Skincare Private Limited shall not be liable for any adverse reactions, skin conditions, or outcomes resulting from the use of our products, whether or not a patch test was performed. Our liability is limited as described in our Terms of Service.
